Throughout her 11-year career as an immigration paralegal, Catalina has developed strong professional and personal relationships with the people in her community. Catalina joined Alisheva Law in 2019 to begin a new chapter in her legal career and to continue to help unite families. Immigration law poses several unique challenges as legal processes and procedures continually evolve and change, but her efforts are constantly rewarded when she sees the smiling faces of the people she has successfully helped along the way.
Catalina’s passion and drive to help the immigrant community came from 7 years of working with migrant families in local Head Start programs and school districts. Catalina is a first-generation high school and college graduate. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and is the daughter of Mexican immigrants from the states of Guerrero and Jalisco, Mexico. Catalina likes to spend her free time cheering on her two children during the football, basketball, soccer and softball seasons (busy, busy, busy). When she is not attending sports’ practices and games, she likes to go to the theater to catch a movie, travel to exciting destinations on extended road trips, or do some weightlifting and boxing at the local gym.
